There are no direct buses from Tambaram East to Kodambakkam..

But you do can use the suburban train from Tambaram to Kodambakkam..

If you do not want to go via train for some reason, you may switch buses at T.Nagar..

As per the schedule, the counselling would start at 9.00 a.m. and the candidates attending the counselling are advised to reach the University Campus well in advance and to complete all the formalities relating to verification of documents, etc., from 7.00 a.m. onwards on the dates specified and be ready for counselling.

The counselling may go beyond office hours and the candidates would be given counselling on the specified date.

The "Driving Directions" in the above link (powered by Google) suggests the best route for taking an auto-rickshaw or a taxi. The distance is around 26.6 km. Better to take pre-paid taxi/auto from Airport.

Buses connecting Anna University, Guindy - TNEA 2009

With the counseling starting for admission into Engineering Colleges in Tamilnadu, a lot of aspirants, along with their guardians, are likely to arrive at Chennai for counseling.

A total of 1.25 lakh students have applied for the counselling process and for the general category the counselling is to begin on July 10, 2009. Each day of the counselling will have eight sessions from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and handle 3500 students per day.

by Priscilla Jebaraj for The Hindu, details the process involved and also provides related guidance..

Among the guidance tips, Anna University's Vice-Chancellor Dr.P.Mannar Jawahar insists that..

* Those from out of Chennai should arrive in the city a day early and
* It is better to visit the counselling venue at the university's Guindy campus one day before their scheduled date, especially if they have an early morning session.
